Applying for Hurricane Zeta Assistance


Federal funding has been made available to affected individuals in Clarke, Dallas, Marengo, Mobile, Perry, Washington and Wilcox counties. Assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of Hurricane Zeta.


Marengo County EMA does not have the ability to determine who qualifies for assistance. All citizens who have been impacted by Hurricane Zeta should register so that FEMA can determine your eligibility.


Individuals and business owners who sustained losses in the designated area can begin applying for assistance:


Online at disasterassistance.gov
By downloading the FEMA app and register on a smartphone or tablet
Or by calling 800-621-3362 (TTY 800-462-7585)

The following information will be required when you apply of assistance:


Social Security Number, Annual household income, contact information (phone number, mailing address, email address and the full address of the home that was damaged by Hurricane Zeta), Insurance information (Coverage, Insurance company name and phone number, policy number etc.), and bank account information.
