911 and Power outages!

Below are the different ways that citizens can report power outages in Marengo County.

In the event of severe weather there will be power outages.  These outages could last from hours to days to weeks.  911 Dispatchers do not have a special number to call to report an outage, have an update on when the power will be restored, cause of the power outage, etc.  It is better for the home owner to call their power company to report their power outage.  Dispatchers simply do not have the time to report outages and calling the 911 center does not get the power on quicker.
