Do you think your house number is easy to see and locate? Here’s a simple way to find out.

Ask a friend or associate who has never visited your home to come to your house at night. Provide them only with your street address and directions to the street, but do not tell them where your house is located along the road.

This is similar to the information emergency responders often rely on—typically just the street name and house number. After they arrive, ask them how easy or difficult it was to locate your home.

This quick test can help determine whether your address numbers are clearly visible and easy to find, which is important for ensuring emergency responders can reach you quickly when every second counts.
