Detention Center

Anyone that has been arrested in Marengo County (including the city limits of Demopolis or Linden) are held at the Marengo County

Detention center after they have been processed by the arresting agency. 

If you have questions in reference to:

* Inmates 

* Bail

* Visitation

* Whether someone has been arrested

  You will need to call the Marengo County Detention Center at (334) 295-2257

If you think you may have a warrant, please do not call 911.  The 911 dispatchers have no way of knowing if you have a warrant out

for your arrest.  In order to find out if you have a warrant you would need to call the police department where you think the warrant

was issued.

Do you have questions on traffic tickets, parking tickets, court fines, or court appearances?  These type of inquires can only be

handled by the court clerk / circuit clerk during normal business hours of 8:30 am until 4:30 pm. If you have a question after these

hours or on a weekend or holiday, they will need to be handled the next business day.  If you miss a payment or court appearance

that was scheduled a warrant can / may be issued for your arrest.  In order to avoid a warrant, it is wise to contact the court before

your scheduled day to appear / pay.  The court clerk / circuit clerk will need to be spoken to directly in reference to any issue you

may have.
